So you are thinking about getting started in the Online Business space. Joining the work revolution. Working for yourself. Congratulations! You are joining the future!
Many people when I mention “Online Business” think about a store: selling things. But there are so many more forms of online business. See my article on Genres of Online Business.
There are now a lot of done for you businesses available. You pony up a bit up front, and off you go to the races.
Then there are gurus who will teach you how to start a particular kind of business. You pay for the training, and do the work to create it, and then you too are off to the races.
Finally there is do-it-yourself, where you figure it all out from scratch.
So there are 3 main ways to launch an Online Business. Done for you Business. Training on starting your own. Or DIY.
Let’s look at the first two. If you are interested in DIY this series will also provide you with some insight into what you need to build into your business as you create it.
Whether yours is a Business-in-a-Box or a training on how to create a specific business, you need to examine what is being offered. If you are considering more than one option, this series of brief articles will give you a platform from which to compare them.
In the following articles we will examine:
- Product and Business Model
- Income Aspirations
- Training and Tools
- Income Model
- Additional Training
- Other Factors
- Industry Considerations
Also look for our downloadable PDF with these considerations broken down into a checklist, which will help you define the characteristics you are looking for in a business, and identify which are essential, which are important, and which would be bonuses.
